Volleyball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Takes a Loss

Elmwood/Plum City extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clear Lake Warriors. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Elmwood/Plum City's offense was headlined by Abby Krings and Maddey Kopp, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Polly Webb and her 13 assists. Hannah Bechel controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Clear Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 26, 2024.

Clear Lake was led to victory by Brenna Dimler and Ayla Monson. Dimler had ten digs and four aces, while Monson had 17 assists.

Elmwood/Plum City has already played their next match (against Clayton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Clear Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Merrill on the 30th.
