Basketball Recap: Master's Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Trinity Prep

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Master's Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 45-37 victory over the Trinity Prep Saints. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-16 last Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Master's Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasie Vellon, who posted 20 points. Kacey Hopkins was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Despite the loss, Trinity Prep still got an impressive performance from Jillian Hennebery, who earned 21 points. That's the most points Hennebery has posted since back in November of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Master's Academy and bumps their season record up to 16-9. As for Trinity Prep, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Master's Academy will challenge The First Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The First Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Master's Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Trinity Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
