Basketball Recap: IDEA Frontier College Prep Comes Up Short

IDEA Frontier College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Rio Hondo Bobcats, falling 98-2. The game marked IDEA Frontier College Prep's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Rio Hondo found their leader in freshman Carlie Rodriguez, who posted 35 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodriguez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joselyn Gallegos, who had 12 points.

IDEA Frontier College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Rio Hondo, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

IDEA Frontier College Prep will welcome Santa Rosa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Rosa's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so IDEA Frontier College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Rio Hondo, they will head out to challenge Progreso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
