Baseball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Westside and Tug Valley have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Renegades came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-4. The loss continues a trend for the Renegades in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Parker Cline made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Hayden Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Tug Valley, the victory got them back to even at 15-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Westside will take on Summers County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tug Valley, they will square off against East Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
