It was a proper cat-fight when Chaparral duked it out with Waco on Friday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-8.

Bailey Thompson paced Chaparral's offense, picking up seven kills. Thompson got some help from Caoimhe Gormley and her 23 assists. Thompson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 12-20. As for Waco, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chaparral will take on rival Belton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Waco is set to face off against their familiar foe Lake Belton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
