Volleyball Recap: South Forsyth War Eagles vs. Norcross Blue Devils
South Forsyth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norcross Blue Devils. The War Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
Norcross' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grayson Taylor led the charge by getting ten digs and two aces. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
South Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Norcross, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Coincidentally, South Forsyth and Norcross will both be playing Cartersville the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Hurricanes at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Blue Devils will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
