Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Calvary Chapel's Winning Streak

After a string of three wins, Calvary Chapel's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the San Gabriel Academy Eagles. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Calvary Chapel started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-23, 25-10, 25-21.

Calvary Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for San Gabriel Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Coincidentally, Calvary Chapel and San Gabriel Academy will both be playing The Webb Schools the next time they take the court. The Grizzlies will head out to face the Gauls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
