While Firebaugh's victory against Mayfair wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Firebaugh had just enough and edged out Mayfair 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 6, 2024.

Firebaugh was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (114-109), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 15-25, 26-24, 20-18.

The victory got Firebaugh back to even at 8-8. As for Mayfair, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
