Softball Game Preview: Wynne Yellowjackets vs. Lonoke Jackrabbits

For the second straight game, Wynne will face off against Lonoke. The Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jackrabbits at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Wynne came up short against Lonoke on Tuesday, falling 9-3.

For Lonoke's part, Kendra Terry was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Terry was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shaniya Jackson, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kirsten Holt, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Lonoke, bringing their record up to 11-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wynne, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
