Basketball Recap: Hopatcong Comes Up Short

Hopatcong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 62-23 loss at the hands of the Kittatinny Regional Cougars. The Chiefs lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-29 score last time.

Hopatcong's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kittatinny Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Hopatcong will be home for the holidays to greet Roxbury at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kittatinny Regional, they are taking a road trip to face off against Vernon at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
