With a playoff win on the line, Lexington rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Bryan Golden Bears by a score of 6-1. The win was nothing new for the Minutemen as they're now sitting on six straight.

Makaree Chapman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lexington's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mariana Molton, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Molton a new career-high. Another was Quinn Patrick, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Lexington's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Bryan, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-5.

As of now, neither Lexington nor the Golden Bears have any future games scheduled.
