Recap: Waccamaw Warriors vs. Socastee Braves
The Waccamaw Warriors lost against the Socastee Braves back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Waccamaw fell to Socastee 56-51. Waccamaw has struggled against Socastee recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Waccamaw lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nate Kettels, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Kettels. Sutton Cooper was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Waccamaw has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Socastee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Waccamaw won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Andrews at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Andrews focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Friday. Socastee will take on Christ Church Episcopal in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd at.
