The Encinal Jets will square off against the Alameda Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Encinal is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Encinal is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Arroyo just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Dons by a score of 7-6.

Encinal saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Furuichi, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another was Shaun Presley, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Alameda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Piedmont.

Encinal's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Alameda, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Encinal took their win against Alameda in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Jets repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
