Volleyball Recap: Wayne Beats Green River for Their Fourth Straight Win

Wayne had won three straight games and Madilynn Jacobson did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Badgers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Green River Pirates with plenty of help from Jacobson, who had 12 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wayne took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-10.

Green River's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rosa Barragan, who had 11 digs and two aces, and Elizabeth Argomaniz, who had five digs and four blocks.

Wayne's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Green River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Wayne will take on Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green River, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Wendover on the 12th.
