Volleyball Game Preview: Noblesville Millers vs. Floyd Central Highlanders

The Noblesville Millers will square off against the Floyd Central Highlanders at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for Noblesville: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Floyd Central has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Noblesville is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since April 1st on Wednesday. They came up short against New Palestine, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Floyd Central earned a 3-1 win over Silver Creek on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won five in a row.

Floyd Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-16.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Noblesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Noblesville couldn't quite get it done against Floyd Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Millers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
