Volleyball Recap: Plainview Takes a Loss

Plainview came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Monterey Plainsmen. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Plainsmen recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Plainview ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Plainview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Monterey, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Coming up, Plainview will take on Midland Legacy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Monterey, they will take on Hobbs at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
