Volleyball Recap: Homestead Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Homestead waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Andrean Fighting 59ers. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Savannah Walker paced Homestead's offense, picking up ten kills. Walker got some help from Avary Heady and her 15 assists. Finally, Walker was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Homestead's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Andrean, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Homestead and Andrean will both be playing Elkhart the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Lions at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting 59ers will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
