Basketball Recap: Beau Chene Takes a Loss

Beau Chene was the 55-37 winner over Acadiana when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Gators and the Rams didn't end well, with the Gators falling 71-57.

Beau Chene dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Acadiana, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Beau Chene will venture away from home to challenge Brookeland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Acadiana, they will challenge Covenant Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
