Soccer Recap: Wayland Academy Takes a Loss

Wayland Academy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lomira Lions. Wayland Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lomira apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Wayland Academy's goal came courtesy of Lucas Cristea-Rist, who's now up to six this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Wayland Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Lomira, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayland Academy will face off against Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lomira, they will square off against Heritage Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
