Basketball Game Preview: Tulelake Honkers vs. Fall River Bulldogs

Tulelake hasn't had much luck against Fall River recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. Fall River took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tulelake, who comes in off a win.

While Tulelake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Butte Valley with a sharp 55-35 win on Tuesday. The Honkers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Fall River lost to Central Valley at home by a 69-50 margin on Tuesday. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 20-12 in the first quarter.

Fall River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Tulelake, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Tulelake beat Fall River 57-48 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Do the Honkers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
