Basketball Recap: Graham/Dustin Takes a Loss

Graham/Dustin came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Calvin Bulldogs. The RiverHawk have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Graham/Dustin's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Bennett, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Bennett has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Colt Whitt was another key player, putting up six points along with 12 rebounds and eight blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Graham/Dustin fell to 2-1. As for Calvin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, Graham/Dustin and Calvin will both be playing Midway the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on December 1, while the RiverHawk will host them at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
