Basketball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

Capital faced George Washington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars were outmatched by the Patriots and fell 75-42. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Capital lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Josiah Greene, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Demajaih Spencer, who put up 12 points.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for George Washington, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
