Monticello typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Champaign Central proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Sages. The win was nothing new for the Maroons as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Champaign Central's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-11-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 25-6.
