Softball Recap: Lower Merion Aces vs. Garnet Valley Jaguars

Lower Merion extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 2-18. They came up short against the Garnet Valley Jaguars, falling 18-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.

Hannah Davis made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, three RBI, and one run.

As for Garnet Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Garnet Valley's side, Ashlyn Thompson tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Garnet Valley got a massive performance out of Audrie Criswell, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave Criswell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Sareyka, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Lower Merion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garnet Valley, they will host Pennridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
