The Unionville-Sebewaing Patriots didn't have quite enough to beat the Gaylord Blue Devils on Friday and fell 3-2.

Olivia Green spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

Unionville-Sebewaing's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Gaylord, their win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Unionville-Sebewaing will head out to square off against Ubly on Monday. As for Gaylord, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Traverse City Central at 4:15 p.m.
