Volleyball Game Preview: Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals vs. Washburn Pirates

Eagleton College & Career Academy hasn't had much luck against Washburn recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Royals are taking a road trip to challenge the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. This will be Eagleton College & Career Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

On Monday, Eagleton College & Career Academy came up short against Bearden and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Washburn didn't have quite enough to beat Gatlinburg-Pittman on Monday and fell 3-2. The Pirates have struggled against the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Washburn actually scored more points across those five sets (106-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-20, 25-23, 12-25, 15-13.

Washburn now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Eagleton College & Career Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Eagleton College & Career Academy suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Washburn in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Royals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
