There's no place like home for Chicago Hope Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Amundsen Vikings on Saturday as they made off with a 12-1 win. Considering Chicago Hope Academy has won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Davian Villalobos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Matthew Mendez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Aj Lajeune, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Chicago Hope Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Amundsen only posted an OBP of .320.

Chicago Hope Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Amundsen, their loss dropped their record down to 7-20.

Looking ahead, Chicago Hope Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Bishop McNamara at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amundsen, they will welcome Kennedy at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
