Recap: Cypress Woods Wildcats vs. Cypress Park Tigers
The Cypress Woods Wildcats''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They blew past Cypress Park 61-33 at home. Considering Cypress Woods has won three matchups by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cypress Woods to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aiden Horton, who threw for 108 yards and four touchdowns. Wayne Shanks jr was another key contributor, gaining 108 total yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Cypress Park still got an impressive performance from Lemarion Byrd, who rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Connor King, who gained 101 total yards and a touchdown.
Cypress Woods' win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Cypress Park, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10.
