Softball Recap: Milford Tigers vs. Delta Rabbits

Milford had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 15-8 to make it four. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delta Rabbits. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rabbits earlier this season, when they won 19-8.

Gracie Dotson and Paizlee Florence stepped up to the plate in a big way. Dotson went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Florence got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As for Delta, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-19. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Delta's side, the team relied heavily on Fallon Johnson, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. That's the most RBI Johnson has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylie Taylor, who earned one RBI, four runs, and one stolen base.

Milford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-0 victory against Pinnacle on the 25th. As for Delta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Carbon on the 25th.
