Softball Recap: Fallston Has No Trouble Against Elkton

Fallston made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Elkton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Fallston was the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Elkton on Wednesday. That looming 15-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Ally Underwood was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on May Ambrose, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Maggie Watts was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
