Recap: Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers vs. Stamford Black Knights

The Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 63-46 to Stamford. Bridgeport Central has not had much luck with Stamford recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stamford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ejai Presley, who scored 18 points along with two steals and two blocks. Presley hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Jeremiah Winchester was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.

Bridgeport Central's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Stamford, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridgeport Central will take on Warde at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stamford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Darien has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
