Recap: Washington School for the Deaf Terriers vs. Naselle Comets
The Washington School for the Deaf Terriers lost against the Naselle Comets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Washington School for the Deaf took a serious blow against Naselle, falling 73-27.
Kwabena White-Star and Lorenzo Fortunato certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. White-Star dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Fortunato scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds. White-Star scored a full 48.1% of Washington School for the Deaf's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Washington School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Naselle, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Washington School for the Deaf will be playing at home against Columbia Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Columbia Adventist Academy is ranked 121st, while Washington School for the Deaf is ranked 125th). As for Naselle, they will head out on the road to face off against Mossyrock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
