Recap: Terry Sanford Bulldogs vs. Southern Alamance Patriots
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Terry Sanford Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were the victim of a tough 47-21 loss at the hands of Southern Alamance on Friday. Terry Sanford's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Jaylen Wright threw for 140 yards and a touchdown. Kamal Thames was his top target, picking up 87 receiving yards. On the ground, Johnathan Higgins-simmons rushed for 45 yards.
Leading Southern Alamance to victory were Logan Foust and Jackson Parrish. Foust rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, while Parrish rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. Foust has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last six times he's played.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Southern Alamance's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Justin Dykes was the leader with two sacks.
Terry Sanford's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Southern Alamance, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 12-1 record.
Terry Sanford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southern Alamance will head out on the road to face off against Seventy-First at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seventy-First is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
