Baseball Recap: Lone Pine Golden Eagles vs. Trona Tornadoes
Lone Pine won the last time they faced Trona and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Eagles blew past the Tornadoes 14-3. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Ralph Enriquez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has become a key player for Lone Pine: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 3-4 otherwise. Enriquez was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played.

In other batting news, Noah Quezada was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eduardo(Lalo) Isidro Romero, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Lone Pine has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Trona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1.
Lone Pine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Mojave on the 1st. As for Trona, they will head out on the road to challenge Lee Vining at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
