Softball Recap: Detroit Lakes Comes Up Short

Detroit Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They came up short against the Bemidji Lumberjacks, falling 8-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lakers of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Detroit Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bemidji, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Detroit Lakes didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-3 loss against Little Falls on the 15th. As for Bemidji, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-1 defeat against Brainerd on the 16th.
