Volleyball Recap: St. Stephen's Episcopal Comes Up Short

St. Stephen's Episcopal was the 3-1 winner over East View when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Patriots on Saturday.

Elise Bowman paced St. Stephen's Episcopal's offense, picking up seven kills. Bowman got some help from Katherine Oehler and her nine assists. Bowman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

St. Stephen's Episcopal has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for East View, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, St. Stephen's Episcopal will face off against Tomball Memorial at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday. As for East View, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Grace Academy on the 16th.
