Preview: Tatum vs. Tenaha
The Tatum Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Tenaha Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tatum is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
On Saturday, Tatum kept a clean sheet against New Diana. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. The win was just what Tatum needed coming off of a 9-0 defeat in their prior matchup.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Kam Beaty and
Giani Garza, who scored both of Tatum's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Meanwhile, Tenaha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell just short of Carthage by a score of 4-3. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Tenaha couldn't quite close it out.
Tatum's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Tenaha, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Tatum might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Tenaha in their previous meeting back in January. Can Tatum avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
