Volleyball Recap: Carson Senators vs. Spanish Springs Cougars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Carson had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Spanish Springs Cougars by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Senators: when they faced off against the Cougars back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.
Carson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 10-25, 25-18.
Abby Franco paced Carson's offense, picking up 13 kills. Franco got some help from Julie Salanoa and her 19 assists. Salanoa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Despite the loss, Spanish Springs still got an impressive performance from Gianna Antle, who had 16 digs and two assists. Antle is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
