            Softball Recap: South Harrison Hawks vs. Calhoun Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            After losing to Calhoun the last time they met, South Harrison decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. South Harrison came out on top against Calhoun by a score of  15-12  on Saturday. With that  victory, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 7.2  runs per game.
 Tori Nicholson made a big impact no matter where she played. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Nicholson was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Riley Myers was a standout: she scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Alexas Talbott, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.

 South Harrison was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .531. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in March of 2024.
South Harrison's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Calhoun, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. South Harrison will  challenge  rival St. Marys  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Calhoun is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Roane County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
