Basketball Game Preview: Atlantic Christian Cougars vs. Gloucester County Christian Conquerors

The Atlantic Christian Cougars will face off against the Gloucester County Christian Conquerors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Atlantic Christian ended up a good deal behind Cape May County Tech and lost 51-37.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Gianna Flynn, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 17 points. That was a full 45.9% of Atlantic Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row Flynn has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Sutton, who went 5-for-8 en route to 10 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Gloucester County Christian came tearing into last Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 30-19. The score was all tied up 10-10 at the break, but the Conquerors were the (much) better team in the second half.

Atlantic Christian now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Gloucester County Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Atlantic Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Gloucester County Christian when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 36-34. Will Atlantic Christian repeat their success, or does Gloucester County Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
