Knox hadn't done well against Jimtown recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Redskins walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Jimmies. This was a revenge game for the Redskins: when they faced off against the Jimmies back in April, they had to take a 8-6 defeat.

Bethany Barnes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Knox saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendra Linscott, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits Linscott has posted since back in April. Madalee Hinshaw also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Knox and bumps their season record up to 10-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Jimtown, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Knox will challenge rival Glenn at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jimtown is set to face off against their familiar foe Bremen at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
