Football Recap: Senatobia's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Byhalia last Thursday, Senatobia came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 16-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarksdale Wildcats on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Senatobia lost, don't look at Deavion Watson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 136 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Watson showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 55 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Senatobia fell to 6-1. As for Clarksdale, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Senatobia and Clarksdale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 44th) will meet Rosa Fort (ranked 144th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clarksdale will face off against Byhalia at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th with a big rank advantage (40 vs. 257).
