Preview: Westhill Vikings vs. Greenwich Cardinals
Westhill is 1-9 against Greenwich since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Westhill Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Greenwich Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Westhill gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 66-56 victory over Shelton. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Nayeli Juarez was on fire: she shot 4-for-4 from deep and dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Greenwich had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 49-19 win over Wright Tech on the road.
Westhill's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0. Greenwich's record is now 1-0.
Westhill was taken down by Greenwich 60-30 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Westhill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
