Basketball Recap: Heritage Has No Trouble Against Millbrook

Heritage hadn't done well against Millbrook recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Heritage Huskies were the clear victor by a 48-22 margin over the Millbrook Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-46 back in January.

Despite the loss, Millbrook saw an underclassman step up: freshman Korryn Dixon posted ten points. Dixon continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 9-10. As for Millbrook, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Heritage will host Wake Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is facing Wake Forest at the right time seeing as Wake Forest is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Millbrook, they will challenge Wakefield at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakefield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Millbrook likes a good challenge.
