Softball Recap: St. James Tigers vs. Sullivan Eagles
After flying high against Laquey on Monday, St. James came back down to earth. The St. James Tigers came up short against the Sullivan Eagles on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
St. James saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
St. James' loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Sullivan, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. James will stay at home for another game and welcome Belle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Belle will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something St. James surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sullivan, they will welcome St. Francis Borgia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
