Basketball Game Preview: Knob Noster Panthers vs. Carrollton Trojans

The Knob Noster Panthers will square off against the Carrollton Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Knob Noster challenged Smith-Cotton on Tuesday. Knob Noster was dealt a 78-32 defeat at the hands of Smith-Cotton. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Tigers are ranked 47th).

Meanwhile, Carrollton suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2024 on Wednesday. They took a blow against Lafayette County, falling 69-28.

Knob Noster now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Carrollton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything came up roses for Knob Noster against Carrollton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-27 win. Will Knob Noster repeat their success, or does Carrollton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
