Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe vs. Mountain View

The Santa Fe Chiefs are taking a road trip to challenge the Mountain View Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Fe will be strutting in after a win while Mountain View will be coming in after a loss.

Santa Fe will bounce into Thursday's game after beating La Serna, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Santa Fe skirted past La Serna 1-0. The Chiefs wouldn't have won without Marvin Covarrubias, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, Mountain View was a bit more limited in their matchup last Thursday. They fell just short of El Monte by a score of 1-0.

Santa Fe is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-5 record this season. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-4.
