Football Game Preview: Depew Hornets vs. Drumright Tornadoes

The Depew Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Drumright Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Depew has given up an average of 30.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Two weeks ago, Depew lost to Yale on the road by a 32-16 margin.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Drumright's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Yale, falling 46-20. While the Tornadoes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 14-8 in the first quarter.

Drumright's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Depew, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Depew took a serious blow against Drumright when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 56-6. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
