Basketball Recap: Shorewood Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shorewood can now relate to. They took a 67-51 bruising from the Slinger Owls on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Owls are ranked sixth).

Shorewood's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Slinger, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Shorewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Slinger has already played their next contest (against West Bend West), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
