Basketball Game Preview: Swartz Creek Dragons vs. Linden Eagles

Swartz Creek hasn't had much luck against Linden recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Swartz Creek Dragons will welcome the Linden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

While Swartz Creek didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 66-24 victory over Brandon. The contest marked the Dragons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Linden unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Yale by a score of 61-58. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 88th).

Swartz Creek's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Linden, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Swartz Creek came up short against Linden when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 53-49. Can Swartz Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
